I have been dealing with a baaaaaaaaad cold. Antibiotics haven't cut it hardly at all. I'm still coughing and sniffing and headachy and not sleeping. Grr!

A Slushie Surprise

So, the meal plan this week will be a bit different. We got some unexpected weather here. It NEVER ices or snows here. Maybe every few years. Well, guess what? It's icey! And will be for the next couple of days, so no trip to the store for me!

So, Monday and Tuesday are all going to be leftovers.

Thurs
Spaghetti

Fri
Roast and veggies (breaking our vegetarian streak)

Sat
Remake roast and veggies into Shepard's Pie

Sun
Leftover city or eating out somewhere

This week's goals are of course to clean the house and sweep up the pine needles from the tree. I'm also going to get out my Christmas cards and finish my online shopping today and tomorrow. And, hopefully, I will be finishing up the rest of it later this week.

A Day Late....

So, I'm late getting started this week. Imagine that...the Queen of Procrastinationland being late!

This past weekend my husband and I bought our first real live Christmas tree. After lugging it home and being SO PROUD to get it up in the stand, we were pooped! We decided to put the decorations on it the next day. Then things got exciting....

Rufus, our beloved little orange cat, decided to pull his annual trick and dump the tree over! This, of course, included the full GALLON of sticky tree perservative solution. After many towels and mopping and much cussing, I was putting the mop away when I heard the noise again! So after the second time to cleaning all that up, I was DEFINITELY done for the day maybe the week.

I'm going to tell everyone that we are minimalists this year.

Meal plan and ToDos are out the window this week. We are eating massive amounts of leftovers and easy things so that the decorations will actually get put up and maybe, just maybe, the cards will go out.

I found out that my lateatude is going to pay off this year as many online retailers are offering free shipping with guaranteed delivery by Christmas on the 18th! Whoopie! I can put it all off for a few more days!
